Our Fundamental Beliefs

GOFAMINT believes in the Holy Bible as the blueprint and sort of Constitution for Christians and Churches. We do all we can to understand the teachings and instructions as intended by God and act in line with whatever the Bible says on any issue.
Our core beliefs are summed up as follows:

  1. Divine inspiration of the Holy Bible (II Tim. 3:16-17). Bible was written by people as God inspired
  2. There is only one God
  3. Mankind is sinful and needs God
  4. God's plan to rescue mankind from doomed evil path is through Jesus Christ (Jn. 3:16)
  5. Jesus Christ is the Messiah to save mankind from sin
  6. One must turn from anything God dislikes and make up for wrongdoings where possible
  7. God declares a person new and not guilty once one turns to God by believing in Jesus Christ
  8. Water Baptism (for people who believe the gospel) as a testimony to Salvation (Matt. 28:19)
  9. Holy Communion (aka the Lord’s Supper) - served to those who have chosen to follow Jesus Christ
  10. Baptism of the Holy Spirit (Eph. 5:18)
  11. God directs the Church through the Spirit filled leaders
  12. Fruit of Spirit (Gal. 5:22) - things a person does to show that they actually know/walk with God
  13. Gifts of Spirit (I Cor. 12:1-2) - signs showing that God is working through someone e.g. miracles
  14. Financial giving to the Church and needy - Donations, Offering and Tithes (Lk. 21:1)
  15. Marriage for life between a man and a woman
  16. Obedience to laws of the land
  17. Jesus Christ ascended to heaven and will return to the earth (Second Coming - I Thess. 4:16-17)
  18. Reality of Heaven and Hell
  19. There will be a New Heaven and a New Earth
  20. The Kingdom of God - only for people that please God
  21. Eternity in the Kingdom of God - no sickness, sorrow or death there
